Okay, I’ve put this down and picked it back up several times. If I’m doing well, I can get through quite a bit at a time, but when I’m having trouble with it, it drives me crazy.
I think the pattern will show up when I block it, but right now it’s pretty much just fuzz. It’s really soft, though.

I’m so excited about entering this in WIPs Dancing in the Ravelympics tonight! It’s going to be difficult waiting to start! I’m sure I can get this done quickly with this as motivation.

Okay, first big mistake this go-around. I had to frog about 15 rows. (Why do I only mess up when I forget to put in a new lifeline every 10 rows, like I planned?) The scarf is back on the needles, though, and I’m ready to go again. I’ve already made a decent amount of progress.
Ehh…never mind. Luckily, I had another lifeline beneath that, because I found a huge hole where I’d made a mistake much earlier. I really need to start gaining ground on this.

Knitting finished! I’m so incredibly excited! I got a shipment in from Knit Picks yesterday that had everything in my order except for blocking wires. I know acrylic doesn’t block like wool, but I’m hopeful that it will help open the lace up a little, at least.

I can’t believe it! I actually finished it! It probably didn’t deserve to be finished, but I’m so glad I did. Ravelympics was great motivation. I HAD to finish it. And although it was tedious sometimes, it was still exciting because it was getting me closer to being a Ravelympic medalist!
I’m also really excited about how the blocking turned out. A steam iron hovering about an inch above it worked wonders. The top two pictures show the scarf after being removed from the blocking wires. This was also my first time using blocking wires, and I loved them.
