I modified this a little by knitting garter stitch on the back to match the front. I also changed the flap by decreasing one stitch on each side in the first row, then using the basic pattern stitch, changing the lace and cables to stockinette, and I made two buttonholes instead of three. I changed the strap slightly. And since the strap is attached inside the purse, you can hide the strap inside and use it as a clutch.
