I’m using leftover yarn from my BFF Socks. I wanted a toe-up pattern so I can keep knitting until I run out of yarn, instead of guessing how long the cuff should be. These are my very first toe-up socks! This is also my first time knitting with two circulars.

They’re coming along, although I had trouble at first. When it said to cast on 9 stitches, I didn’t realize that meant 2 sets of 9, with 18 total. Also, I’m getting terrible ladders with the two circs, no matter what I do. I’m going to stick it out for this pair of socks, though, just to give it a fair chance. Ladders can be fixed.

Finished! Not only was this my first toe-up pattern, it’s also my first experience with the Turkish cast on and EZ’s sewn bind off. Also, they’re the first socks that didn’t end up too big! They might be just a teeny bit small, but they look and feel good, and they stay on. I did end up with ladders all the way up both socks, but I can fix that.

I finally got the pictures uploaded. You can see the ladders clearly in some of them, since I haven’t gotten rid of all of them yet.
Notes to self:
The pattern stitch was a little bit off, so I changed it to k7, (k1, p1) 5 times, k8. I knitted 36 rounds for the foot, although I would probably add a couple of rounds next time.
Where it suggested picking up stitches to begin the leg, I picked up two on each side and decreased in the next round. But I’d probably like to find a different way to make the heel and toe, to avoid the largish holes in the sides. After the garter stitch ended, I knitted 16 rounds in pattern. I would probably do more if I had more yarn. I then added ribbing, like this:
Next row: (P1, k1) 12 times, p2tog, k1, (p1, k1) 11 times, p2tog. This does use one extra stitch at the end.
Next 5 rows: (K1, p1) around.
