Notes

I think I started this on 1/8. I mostly just remember being at my in-laws’ house for a football game. I finished the knitting on 1/16. I’m going to have to measure this and take pictures before blocking, because it’s going to be a really dramatic change.

The scarf is 13’ 8” before blocking. If I double it over before I hang it around my neck, it still comes to my knees. I’m beginning to block it tonight, but I know I won’t finish it tonight. It’s going from this skinny, rolled up thing to a 6” wide lace pattern. I’m did a slip stitch selvedge, and I’m pinning every single slipped stitch. It’s kind of crazy! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Hmm…I thought it was going to get shorter when I blocked it because I was stretching it so far horizontally. I blocked it until its screams for mercy faded into dying gasps. It ended up 15 feet long. Yeah. But I love it! It’s doubled over twice in the picture where it’s hanging off the ironing board. And in case you missed it, there are six strands around my neck in the top picture, and it still hangs past my waist.

I sold this for a $2 donation to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at the sale at work on 10/16/2018.
