Almost finished! I had to add 3 straight rows in the middle of the ball to make it rounder. So, I added two straight rows at the end of one half, then one row at the end of the other. A little mattress stitch, and it’s looking great.

I’m using a pack of magnets from Hobby Lobby. They seem very strong before I put them under the yarn. They do decently in the katamari, but nothing spectacular. I’ve found some stronger magnets, but they’ve been way too small. Next time, I’d use the same magnets I am now, but I’d also put one of the smaller, stronger magnets in, too, at the top of each nub. I just didn’t want to pay for them right now…

This is going to be great with my Katamari Damacy Prince of All Cosmos Hat for Halloween! I gave this a higher difficulty rating because of the seaming, expecially with the last few pieces. The magnets do not want to stay where you put them! Once it’s all together, though, it’s perfect.
