I finished the first one. It turned out great! I only did two pattern repeats before starting the thumb, because I don’t have a lot of yarn for it. When I finished increasing for the thumb, it wasn’t quite long enough, so I worked the thumb straight until I got to the end of the repeat, and it worked perfectly.
I love the increases in the pattern, but they don’t quite mirror each other. I’m going to try twisting the left leaning increases in the opposite direction of the right leaning increases.

These were so much fun! It had enough going on to keep me interested, but it was still easy enough to memorize. I think twisting the increases really helped.
Maybe I did the increases on the wrong sides of the thumb, but the gloves didn’t match up exactly right for me. I would have put the first marker one stitch earlier on each glove. Actually, now that I think about it, they probably would have matched up if I had switched them. Oh, well…
The ribbing at the top is definitely wrong, as other people have noticed. Here’s how I did it.
Round 1: K1, ssk, p3, k3, p3, k2, p1, k2, p3, k3, p3, k2tog, k1. K2, repeat from * to , k2.
Round 2: K2, p3, k3, p3, k2, p1, k2, p3, k3, p3, k2. Repeat from * to .
Round 3: Ssk, p3, k3, p3, k2, p1, k2, p3, k3, p3, k2tog. Repeat from * to .
Rounds 4-8: K1, p3, k3, p3, k2, p1, k2, p3, k3, p3, k1. Repeat from * to .
This pattern isn’t written for a beginner. That being said, it really wasn’t difficult. You just need to be able to have faith that you’re figuring out what the pattern means correctly. It just doesn’t hold your hand all the way through.
I would definitely recommend this pattern, and I could see myself using it again!

I’m finally uploading the pictures today. The color in the first couple of pictures is fairly accurate. It’s sort of denim-looking. Also, you’re not imagining it; the right glove is a little longer. But you don’t notice it when I’m wearing them, and it’ll probably even out once I wash/block them, which I probably won’t bother with until they’re dirty.
