I began swatching for this on 1/15, but I’m not really counting that because it was pretty sporadic. I haven’t done much colorwork yet, so I’m still experimenting with it. I used a yarn guide on my left hand and ran both colors through it. I think I did pretty decently, considering the fact that I don’t have a lot of experience yet, but I’m still going to try other approaches to stranded colorwork before I decide on my favorite.

This was a lot of fun to make! I can definitely see myself making another one of these. It’s really cute and doesn’t require a lot of time. It would have been finished much faster if I hadn’t had other projects going at the same time.

I finished the knitting yesterday, and I’m attempting to block it on a plate. I’ve never tried to do this type of blocking with acrylic before, so we’ll see how it goes!

It turned out great with steam blocking!

I offered this hat to my mom today, since she saw it and really seemed to like it, but she didn’t like how the white made her almost-white hair look. I thought it was cute on her, but oh, well.

My aunt donated for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer today in exchange for this hat and another one that’s not in Ravelry!
