New test knit for Joanna, my favorite designer

I ordered the perfect yarn from Sonder Yarn co in Montreal with a perfect match to the suggested yarn for the pattern. The gauge was spot on.

I just started and so far, this is a very addictive knit, clear and quite easy. Interesting construction that make it hard to put down.

I chose the size XS based on other sweaters I made, I think this will be the perfect slightly oversized fit.

Body is done, no mods. I used a tubular bind off. The yarn is an absolute joy to work with.

All done! I ended up using only 2 skeins of each yarn.

Final measurements:

A: 104,5 cm Bust circumference
B: 24 cm Neck width
C: 32 cm Upper arm circumference
D: 45 cm Sleeve length from underarm
E: 23cm Cuff circumference
F: 55 cm Shoulder to hem
G: 23 cm Neck edge to armhole length
H: 31 cm Underarm to hem

I didn’t do any modifications on the pattern.

Notes on the pattern & yarn:

I found this project to be clear and interesting. I love that kind of construction, it’s always changing without being overly complicated. The charts are easy to remember.

The result is a timeless piece, elegant and easy to wear. I highly recommend!

The yarn was a first for me and it’s just perfect, lovely to touch, bouncy! I also highly recommend! The mohair doesn’t shed and is not scratchy. Love love love.
