Super cute sweater for the mid-autumn Festival, year of the Rabbit.

Love at first sight!

I decided to use the “old” Tuku Fingering as I got it at a bargain price. I don’t really know how much it defers from the new one but I’m happy to finally try it. It’s not the softest yarn but I like the rustic feel. I had a red sweater in mind and I really love the Hohka colour. It’s the perfect red imo.

I use a german twisted cast-on and did the short rows for the neck (substituted for german short rows instead of wrap and turn). There were some issues with the placement of the BOR marker, which resulted in a little asymmetry of the yoke, but really, I don’t think it is so bad. I left it as it was. I think the pattern will omit the short rows all together.

I didn’t do the bust shaping short rows.

For the sleeves, I followed the pattern but they ended up too wide (30 cm of circumference instead of 20 cm in the pattern) and I decided to make a final decrease round right before the cuff, decreasing 12 stitches evenly. I also went down the needle size, using 3mm for the cuffs. I made the bracelet length. I used the tubular cast-off for the sleeves.

Body: as per pattern, i made the cropped length. Used 3,5mm for the ribbing, used Jeny’s stretchy bind-off.
