I crocheted the border around the scarf by doing a sc in 1st purple stripe, then chained 3 and made another sc in the same 1st purple st. Then I made 1 slip st - just repeated this sequence around.

I also cut some of the colors of the Bernat Mosaic so the color runs were shorter since this scarf will be for my 3 yr old granddaughter, and I wanted a balanced representation of colors.

I also made matching fingerless mitts to go with the scarf.

Gemma asked me to make her a “purple” scarf & mitts for her 3rd B-day. So this is what I came up with from my stash. Hope her mom sends me pics of her wearing it!
