This MKAL was so very enjoyable to knit, and the BEADS! I loved all the beads! Since I used lace wt. & I left out Chapter 4, the final size after blocking is 56” x 25”.

Bought my yarn during the sit & knit at Kate’s studio. Buying beads today. A bit late starting, but hope to catch up this week with all day knitting at Lewes, DE beach! Can’t get any better than that - doing a Rosie & Turtlegirl MKAL, usingDragonfly Squishy Lace, while sitting at the beach watching the waves with perfect weather!

Coming along, finishing chpt 2. Decided to do all 4 panels of lace on the 2nd part of chpt 2.

Finished chapter 3 and love the look of the 6.0 chartreuse beads I used in the diamond section. Decided not to do chpt 4 for several reasons - 1) I am not a large shawl person, 2) the depth of the shawl was already 22” before blocking, 3) I personally felt it would be too busy for my taste.

Doing chpt 5, the border, now & thought I would be able to knit the border all in one day, but alas I was only able to get 1/3 of the way across with 8 hrs of straight knitting. I have made 14 “rosettes” so far with each having 16 rows.

Finished knitting, but since I’m not home, I have no way or place to block this shawl. Unless I find a place to block, I’ll have to wait till I return to MD, so I’m calling this essentially finished - will post blocked photos later.

Finally able to block - the pictures post blocking are from the top 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9.
