I love the finished project!! Elena has such beautiful patterns! The actual knitting was easy & interesting, but I highly recommend that you thoroughly read the entire pattern & circle everything pertaining to the size you will be knitting because it becomes very confusing, especially on page 17 since she includes so many sizes.

If I were to knit this again, I would not do the last garter edge increase to 7 sts, & I would end the cables just after making a cable so that the bottom edge doesn’t curl inward & upward causing the gaping middle. That is just my personal preference.

This yarn is very soft & has a very nice drape to it. Gemma will be able to wear this well into the summer because of the bamboo. The real color has more of a purple hue, which is what Gemma & most 3 yr old girls seem to really want.

I’m deciding whether I want to block this item or just leave it as is.
