I wanted a bit of an A-line shape, to give some ease at my hips. Beginning with row 75, I began increasing 2 stitches at the center area of both underarms, every 12th row. This gave some extra blue stitches between the pattern’s star motifs under the arms but camouflaged very well into the overall patterning, as I made sure to keep the star pattern lined up vertically while knitting each round.

I finished the left arm, forgetting to knit the upper arm chart, so I duplicate stitched in the chart design after knitting the cuff.

I washed the sweater after the final photos and unfortunately, the vibrant blue yarn dye bled quite badly and has “greyed” the vibrant golden brass colored yarn…. I am extremely disappointed and quite surprised that this expensive yarn would do that! I am currently re-washing with white vinegar and hoping for a miracle.

In all of my knitting years, I have never experienced this dreadful outcome.
