What a brilliant pattern--the lightbulb came on for me when I realized it was a corner-to-corner with V-stitches instead of 3 doubles. A-ha! Quick and addictive. I used a wool yarn, slightly thicker than the pattern called for, but it worked out. The real trick is in the blocking. Just a spritz of water and lots of pinning and pressing with my fingertips. The stitches may not be as “airy” as some of the other examples of this shawl, but I’m happy with it.
