Notes

The toe-split in this pattern fits me really well.

Back in December 2019 I wanted to knit myself a pair of split-toe socks. I prefer to use flip-flops indoors all year round, but it is a bit too cold in winter. I struggled a lot with finding a good division of stitches for the split, and the project got pushed aside by other things. I found the project bag again in April 2020 and decided to try out the new free pattern I had spotted on Ravelry.

Notes to self

CO 64.
20 rounds 2x2 rib with one mini cable running down (right sock: 9th rib, left sock: 15th rib).
Leg of sock in stockinette while continuing mini cable down leg. 60 rounds.

Shortrow heel over 32 stitches with mini heel flap (12 rows flap before shortrow heel, pick up 6 stitches along each side of flap). Flap and back of heel in heel stitch (slipped stitches).

Decrease gusset stitches every third round.
Knit foot for 48 rounds, keeping mini cable.
Divide for toe and follow pattern.

25 rounds before decreases for big toe.
For the rest of the toes work 8 decrease rounds with a knit round in between, and then immediately continue with 2 decrease rounds every round decreasing on both sides. Graft remaining 22 sts.
