You can’t deny the itty bitty pinky owley cuteness of this dear baby cardigan. A must for every well dressed baby’s wardrobe. I love this pattern! As far as I know, even though cabled owls have been around for a long time, this is first time a pattern for it was written down for hand knitters. It came out in the late 60s or early 70s. Many people have copied her since (including me!) but we all have to thank Janice Straker (Penny’s mother) for first writing it down. Blogged here.
