Notes

Very cute little vest to make. The yarn is very nice and soft which will make this pleasant to wear around the neck. I hope my little two year old nursery schooler grandson will get a lot of wear from this. I think vests are so nice to pop over a child’s head when they go outside to play when it’s just a little brisk--not cold enough for a jacket, but still needing something to keep neck and chest warm. The pattern is very quick and easy. I love it and it’s very nice that it goes up to age 6. I can make it again and again--my guy’s only two! It is sized baby, toddler, 2, 4 and 6 years. I wanted to make a size 3 so just added stitches in the center and side stockinette sections and added a little length. I popped it over his head when he was here yesterday and it did fit so I hope it will still fit in a few months! I’ll get modeled pictures as soon as the weather cools.

This is a superwash yarn but not like others I’ve tried. It did not stretch out in the washing machine like so many super wash often do. Every superwash I’ve tried had to be put in the dryer to get them back into shape, but this one, not really. Because of that I could have laid it out to air dry but instead put it in the dryer until it was half dry then patted to shape and dried in the shade.
