The work is very enjoyable, I am excited to be making this beautiful sweater for my girl.
And of course I love this yarn.

I am almost done with the garter part of the yoke in Y1 size (chose to start with this one, as chest circumference was exactly her measurement - and I want it fitted), though I wil be ripping it off and restart with Y2 size.
Even though my gauge is very close to the pattern gauge (24 sts = 10 cm, pattern gauge 22 sts = 10 cm) -- my problem is the neckline. It was suspiciously narrow, and when I measured after knitting a bit more, I see that the neckline will be uncomfortably tight on my daughter’s neck.

A comment on the edge stitch: I prefer to work the edge by slipping every 1st st of the row, and knitting every last sts every row. I know some people (even the ones who do the slipped st edge st otherwise) prefer to knit both first and last just to get the Garter edge. But I just find it’s neater this way, and also the edge is kinda tighter, so I use this method every time unless I know I will be picking these sts later.
