Notes

It’s time for a Romi mystery again!

I knit from the written, and left handed, so any asymmetry is flipped. I am also not using a fuzzy yarn.

C1 - Plomo - 101.2 grams
C2 - Kris -100.4 grams

Clue 1

C1 only

Cast on and Chart A C1
Make sure all edge YOs wrap the same way.

C1 - 98.8 grams left

Chart B C1
On row 1 (where you will have a YO on each side of any repeat markers.) watch for jumping YO.

Repeat 1 - C1 - 97.1 grams
Repeat 2 - C1 - 94.0 grams
Repeat 3 - C1 - 90.8 grams
Repeat 4 - C1 - 86.6 grams
Repeat 5 - C1 - 81.8 grams
Repeat 6 - C1 - 76.2 grams
Repeat 7 - C1 - 69.7 grams

Chart C C1
Ends with a couple of garter ridges.

C1 - 65.2 grams

Clue 2

Both C1 + C2

Bind Off C1
When Romi says to k2tog, k1 tbl to get to 2 live stitches, I did k1 tbl, k2tog tbl. I usually do it as Romi does, but I wanted to see if this will give me a smoother edge.

C1 - 62.6 grams

Transition C1
I usually do this type of pick up row in 2 steps. First I pick up and count, then I knit the row and add any YOs.

Don’t miss row 2!

C1 - 60.9 grams

Chart D both C1 and C2
When slipping make sure your floats are long enough.

You will be adding repeats on rows 14 and 29.

On row 17 some repeat markers may need adjustment.

C1 - 46.6 grams
C2 - 82.8 grams

Clue 3

Both C1 + C2

Chart E both C1 and C2
You will be adding repeats on rows 7 and 17.

You will need to cut C2 after Row 12 and C1 after Row 19.

Watch Row 19. Those are M1p.

C1 - 30.4 grams
C2 - 72.0 grams

Chart F C2 only
In the written you will add repeats on Row 7.

C2 - 58.8 grams

Clue 4

Both C1 + C2

Chart G C2 only
You will need to move any repeat markers on rows 1 and 3 for the decrease.

If you aren’t using the written, repeats are added on row 1.

Repeats are also added on row 7.

C2 - 37.2 grams left

Chart H C1 only

For some reason I needed to double and triple check to make sure I was knitting the knit rows, and purling the purl rows.

For now, I am leaving both yarns attached. I’m sure Romi will tell us when each color is finished.

C1 - 23.0 grams left

Clue 5

Both C1 + C2

Chart I C1 and C2
You will be adding repeats on rows on rows 1 and 3.

We add in C2 on row 6. A WS row again.

C1 - 13.3 grams
C2 - 35.4 grams

Chart J C2 only

You will add repeats on rows 5.

Any repeat markers will move on rows 5, 7, 13, and 15.

I really liked the spoiler picture with the whole 16 rows of this chart, but I figured I’d need at least 24 grams for rows 8 through 16, so I opted for the row 8 BO since I only had 21 grams left.

With so much left for the BO, I decided to do 2 BO stitches in each YO.

C2 - 21.4 grams left after row 7
14.8 after my row 8 BO

Totals used
C1 - 87.9 grams
C2 - 85.6 grams
