Notes

The first sock looks pretty doable. I’ll stay on the safe side this time and use a 2,75mm needle, because of the cables and slip stitches.

I have a cuff! Took a while because I had to work for a few hours, but I only had to frog twice . First because using the dark color as C1 turned out not to be a very good idea, second time because I cannot count.

Something tells me this yarn is gonna turn up 20 different shades in the photos……

Finished the first leg. It is nice and short, and I love that, because the work is way too tight for a long leg. So I kept the minimum of 9 reoeats/54 rows after the cuff. Work is 12 cm i including cuff, 9 5 die the leg itself. (Less when stretched).

Just started the gusset, but I eyes are getting even now tired then my hands, so I will have to call it a day.

Finished my first sock. And….it fits !! It is a very tight fit though, and it gets stretched to the max.
Unfortunately that makes it inevitable that some stitches between the slip stitches are hiding in the deep, end in the cables they stole length from their neighbour stitches wherever possible.

Even though I am using 2,75 mm needles, which I usually need for fully stranded socks, the work is very compact. But these socks were an absolute delight to knit, with one of the best written patterns I have ever seen, so I will gladly make another pair with thicker yarn on 3mm needles. They are also very very pretty.

With a very busy weekend ahead of me, I hope to be able to finish the second sock in time, before my entire team has finished. Because despite my pains with and chronic pain issues, I somehow landed in one of the fastest teams.

09.03.2025

I knew I had very little knitting time this weekend, my leg hurt like hell all the time so I could neither sit nor stand nor walk nor lay down for long, but a VERY short night helped me finishing them very late tonight.

My eyes were really fuzzy the last hour or so, so I hope I haven’t overlooked big mistakes. I used a duplicate stitch (or tried to) to correct a wrong twisted cable at the beginning of the right leg :-(((

I love love loved this pattern.
