I have been wanting to make this for awhile now, and realized I had yarn that work well for this project, so decided to go ahead and make it. TIP: Pay attention to the increase rounds in the granny square and the decrease rounds in the sleeves! (Easy to keep going and forget the increases, decreases.)

Pattern was easy to understand and includes helpful diagrams and sizing.

The yarn was a good match for this. It has slight variations in thickness, but one skein was awful with some extremely thick sections and some extremely thin sections. I ended up ripping out some and not using this skein.

Followed pattern with the following exceptions:

Round 1: total of 12 dc (ch 3, 11 dc in ring)

Back piece: After completing pieces and seaming sweater, I added 5 rows to the bottom of the back piece, as I wanted a longer back.

NTS: granny square: 22 rounds
Front pieces: 11 rows each
Sleeves: 28 rounds each, begin with 20 stitches around, decrease to 15 stitches (decreased in 3rd, 6th, 12th, 18th, and 24th rounds.)
