Pom- 5” in Latte from @sierrascrochetcrafts on Instagram and Etsy.
My 5th knitting project. Haven’t ventured out of hats in the round yet. This pattern is one of the main reasons I wanted to learn to knit. Hoping I know enough to figure it out now.
I am using 10 1/2 and 11 needles instead of 11 and 13. I tend to crochet with looser tension, so I assume I’m likely the same with knitting.
2/4/18 Started and got through the first cable and realized I did something wrong. Ripped back to round 8. I think I only needed to redo cable round 5 ( I knitted 4 stitches after the cable instead of before), but I wasn’t really confident with round 8, so I thought it better to go ahead and do it over.

2/5/18 Finished the hat up to the decrease section. When I get to the point where the circulars are stretching the yarn I will attach a longer cord and use the magic loop method.

2/6/18 Started decrease rounds after 3rd cable. Magic loop method. Simple technique, just a little tricky for me at first. Can’t decide if I like DPNs or Magic Loop better. Neither is difficult, just need practice. Hat is finished and ready for a pom!
