If you haven’t tried any of Megan’s patterns, you should give it a shot. She has lots of nice patterns and they’re FREE! Some are on Ravelry, but this one is just on her blog.

So far the band seems to fit a little loose even though it is measuring 18”. I might leave off the last 2 repeats before the decreases start. (One slip stitch section and one post stitch section.) I don’t want the hat to be too slouchy.
