Pattern was very well written and easy to follow. It’s a yarn eater, though. Didn’t use all of both skeins, but the hat is very thick and heavy. The pattern does recommend though, to use two strands of a lighter worsted weight yarn. Next time I will try Caron Simply Soft. I also went down a hook size as I’m a loose crocheter. In this instance though, the recommended hook size would have made the hat less stiff, but too large, I believe. I might attempt this pattern with one strand worsted or bulky and just use a smaller hook and add more increases. I rated the pattern Medium because of the front post stitches. If you have experience with front post stitches, this would be an Easy pattern.
Overall, I love the design of the hat and will probably try again with the recommended hook size and a thinner worsted weight yarn.
