This is more of a recipe style pattern, so I think I will be ok not doing the split single crochet. I have been making a lot of amigurumi and switched to to the yarn under, yarn over technique for making single crochets and this doesn’t work well for split single crochet. This technique does make a little bit shorter stitches though, so I’m hoping it will work out.

I split my skein into 2 cakes so I can work back and forth on both socks to make sure I’m keeping them even. I’m afraid to do one at a time and end up with different size socks.

9/28/22 The socks were done in about 3 days except for the spider legs. I finally added them today.
