I used both patterns to make this hat. I followed the Creepy Skulls Slouchy Hat pattern until I got to the short rows. Instead of making short rows I used the Creepy Skulls Lined and Unlined Hat pattern as a guide to make the skulls in the round instead of short rows. I made two rows of skulls and then did the DC decrease rows. Patterns were well written and easy to combine.
