Wanted a quick and easy pattern that used one skein of Scarfie. This pattern says one skein will make both the hat and cowl. Giving it a try.

Followed patterns as written with the following modifications:

Hat: 3 less dc rounds and I like the the way the hat looked inside out better than right side out with this yarn.

Cowl: 4 less rows than pattern called for Finished size: 38” x 7 3/4”.

Both projects took less one skein. I had abt 15 yards left over, but I did eliminate a few rows on each project.

The patterns were super simple. Basic stitches as I wanted the colors to stand out more than the design. Great project for beginners!

As for the yarn, I loved the color combination. The yarn is squishy, and it’s not very soft, yet it’s not scratchy either. (The skein I had did have 3 places where the yarn was knotted together. )
