1 skein Lion Brand Hometown USA (I used Chicago Charcoal)
1 lion brand pom pom (The Pom)

Magic circle starting with 6 sc, subsequent rounds are back loop only sc increasing 6 stitches per round to 42 sc then keep at 42 sc to desired length. (last round I crocheted 2 tog every 6th and 7th stitch as the beanie was a little loose for me.)

The back loop sc gives the piece a completely different look on both sides.
