Followed pattern through round 14 and then crocheted 1 round of sc as I was running out of yarn. Added 2 more rounds of sc in the shrimp color. Lovely pattern, easy to follow, and well written.
Thanks to Crochet Addict Uk for the free flower pattern. Ravelry link above. I followed pattern with these modifications:

1. I used DK yarn
2. I chained 9 instead of 5 to begin flower so it would fit over my button.
3. To make the flower larger, I added a round of sc around flower with sc, ch 1, sc in eac dc of previous round. Hat crown measures 6.75” across and length is 8”. Helpful hat sizing chart can be found here: http://anniespictureperfect.blogspot.com/2013/01/how-to-p...
