10/18/18 Testing this sweater for Toni of @tlyarncrafts. I started swatching with Lion Brand New Basic and found this yarn to be a tad bit too thick and really difficult to frog if needed. I did 3 complete rows of the body panel and found it way too long. Ordered the recommended Wool Ease from Jo-Ann, but they can take awhile on shipping. Going ahead with Red Heart Soft as it’s swatching the best of what I have on hand.

10/20/18 Finished both body panels today while marathon T.V. watching. I plan to steam block all pieces before seaming. Going to start on sleeves today and hopefully get pieces blocked this week. Finished sleeves.

10/22/18 Finished seaming. Taking a break to complete another test pattern due Friday, then I will add the collar.

I highly recommend this pattern! It’s one of the best crochet garment patterns I’ve completed. The design is well thought out and the pattern is well written and easy to understand. Schematic is included to illustrate the construction.

I had 2.8 ounces leftover in the 9th skein, so I probably could have made do with 8 skeins and careful planning.
