This pattern is super easy and working up quickly. I used a category 3 weight yarn which is a little thinner than the suggested yarn and called for “H” hook. I crochet on the loose side, so this should workout ok.

Small error in line 5 of the child 4-5 pattern. Where it says “ch 18” (in 2 places) it should be followed by “skip 18 stitches”.

Modifications: repeated line 7 once then switched to dc. 23 rounds dc, one round sc, 2 rounds back loop only sc.

Made a matching hat. Simple top down dc hat with last 4 rounds sc, back loop only sc, back loop only sc, back loop only slip stitch.
