Pattern was well written and easy to follow. Made one as per instructions, but looked too big for a newborn so i made this one second with a hook size smaller: 5.0 (H). I do crochet a little on the loose side, so this could be the reason the first one was a little large.
I only needed the diaper cover for a customer, but would love to try the giraffe hat sometime. Cute pattern.
