This pattern is quick and easy to follow. I modified the pattern as follows: I crocheted 16 rows instead of 18. I made a drawstring to weave around one end that can be tied in a bow. I love the way it looks as per the pattern, but I really love it with the added drawstring bow! To make the drawstring I chained 77 then sc in each chain (76 sc) fasten off and weave in ends and weave through one end of the cowl. ( I wove it in and out every two stitches.) The cowl with the drawstring used about 3 skeins of yarn.
