Here is the first item I ever knit for myself when I was 17, that is 40 years ago at the time of adding this to my Ravelry projects today. The pattern, by Twilley’s Bazouki Ethnic Bulky Wool number 6261, is not recognised by Ravelry, it is too old.

I made this is Lopi wool. The intarsia work is poor, my first attempt & I sewed it up with thread using my sewing machine - ah the things we do in our youth. I still wear this jumper when it is very cold here in Scotland, it has had 40 years of heavy use as you can see by the state of the poor thing in the pics.
