These mittens. Oh these mittens! Everything was going along swimmingly (standard mitten, keep on knittin’) until I reached the decrease area. Somehow, decreasing combined with a semi-complicated lace stitch combined with knitting late at night all congealed together in an attempt to thwart me.

Finally, when I’d charted the pattern for the gazillionth time and really worked out what stitches I was supposed to be dropping, and had hit a real rhythm, I realized I’d been forgetting to decrease on the palm side of the mitten this last time. Doh!

Whew! One mitten done. Now let’s tackle the second mitten - and then it’s time to write this pattern up!
