These are the strangest things I have ever knit. They are super-easy, but funky looking. And the stripes? Wasn’t my best moment. Sigh. Another design idea down the tubes.

These are becoming the bane of my existence. They should be a nice, easy, relaxing knit. But when I finished the second one, it was several garter ridges longer than the first! Instead of trying to undo my sewn-in edges, I simply started a third slipper. At the end of it, I ran out of my carry-along yarn, so I frogged the second slipper to retrieve some, thereby destroying it in the process because I had done such a damn good job sewing it up that it was basically impossible to get into without cutting. Guess what. The third slipper is too long. Even though I was uber-careful to watch and count the ridges. eye twitch

Luckily, I measured the third slipper before I began sewing it together, so I was easily able to undo the knot to frog it. But really?! Come on. Sigh. Now to knit slipper three and a half (a.k.a. my modified third).

Oh, and did I mention these are ugly? Yeah. Yeah.
