Notes

My friend breezyd needed fingerless mitts to match her Ishbel Beret. After searching unsuccessfully for one, I decided to write up my own.

These mitts are the prototype. I was super-proud of the Malabrigo Sock, which held up well through several froggings, and gave me confidence to knit and wear socks out of them in the future.

What’s fun about knitting symmetrical pieces is that you have to remember to duplicate mistakes too, so that you can make them truly identical. Also, I found it interesting that because this pattern was knit up on small needles and a small circular area the pattern twists around your wrist, which changes the way that it appears. Though I think I prefer light fingering weight knit on smaller needles, I really love the finished project, overall.
