Notes

I am addicted to this tea towel pattern. ADDICTED, I tell you!

Araucania, the brand of this yarn, is actually a majestic tree in Chile, also known as the monkey puzzle tree. It produces a type of pine nut called a piñón, which is a staple food for the indigenous Pehuenches.

This yellowy-green really isn’t my color, but it is my friend Peg’s. It’ll look great in her house!

She LOVES it. She and her daughter Emma use this teatowel all the time and it hangs underneath their sink. The last time I was over, I watched Emma absent-mindedly wipe her hands on it after cleaning a plate and thought, “Score!” When someone uses something without thinking about it, that’s what you know that your gift has been successful. :D
