If you don’t know what to do with your leftovers of easter-egg colors I just give you the idea.
Very simple: the socks were knitted on my Brother KH 830 with ribber and then batiked as you may learn by a multiple of tutorials in the internet.
Or you were a teenager in the seventees and so the art of batik is tattooed into your brain.
Before dripping the color onto the socks let them soak with water with vinegar essence.
Mix the easter-egg colour with vinegar essence and water.
I wrapped the batiked socks into heat-resistant plastic wrap and put it into the oven for about an hour with 80 degrees Celsius.
After that the socks had to cool down and then they were washed in the machine.
The color is fixed quite well. It will fade a little within the years being machine-washed.
