The pattern is very open for modifications. It’s well written and can be used from jacket to coat.

Modifications and facts

  • Machine knitted, T8, 182 stitches
  • started with single bed (open) cast-on and transferred to ribber 5 main bed … (4/4) …4 main bed… (4/4)…5 main bed
  • knitted fronts and back in a row, separating them with waste yarn; fronts are 2/3 of back, back has 216 rows
  • used open sts to knit sleeves directly to the body (no seam), decreased 2 sts every 4th row
  • knitted last 60 rows of sleeves with T6 (82 sts)
  • finished sleeves with tubular cast-off
  • closed side seams with invisible kitchener stitch due to stretchy sides for elongating
  • attached I-cord at neckline
  • closing with magnet buttons

Meine Modifikationen für die Maschine:

  • 182 M, offener Anschlag mit Kontrastgarn am Hauptbett (HB), MW 8
  • Umsetzen aufs VNB: starten mit 5M am HB, dann im Wechsel 4M VNB, 4M HB … enden mit 5M HB
  • Vorderteile und Rücken am Stück stricken, die Teile mit Kontrast trennen
  • Die Vorderteilbreite beträgt 2/3 des Rückens
  • Die offenen Maschen nutzen, um die Ärmel im Maschenrhythmus direkt anzustricken
  • Alle 4 Reihen je zwei Maschen abnehmen
  • Die letzten 60 Reihen wurden mit MW 6 gestrickt, Abgekettet habe ich mit dem Italienischen Abnähen
  • Ärmel- und Seitennähte wurden in einem Rutsch durchgenäht, mit unsichtbarem Maschenstich
  • I-Cord rings um die Kante
