Notes

The original of the summit-pattern is a machine pattern published in the 80s (1985) by John Allen, a famous machine knitter and designer.

Another hand knit adaption was published in Twist Collective . I played a little with the pattern and made a stole and a triangular scarf, 167m/50g

I also tried out a pattern from Crema, a braided cowl, 167m/50g

For three shawls I used a pattern from Pamela Cruse which is very similar to Christine’s Shawl but was published much earlier.
I used a blend of wool and acrylic for the light green one and a chenille yarn made from Cotton and acrylic. You can’t see any pattern on it and it tends to stretch in every direction. But it feels very cosy.
The pattern allowes you to make very big shawls. I used tension 6 and about 90 needles on both sides.

The scarf with the leaf pattern (punched by myself) was started when I showed a demonstration on my knitting machine in a museum. Because I couldn’t finish I ended with the salmon colored yarn.
Tension 6 with three threads of salmon (NM 28/2), chenille is a single thread.
