Notes

Making for size L but after swatching and blocking and finishing 2 squares, I think using the directions for size M will get me to size L. I’ll check measurements as I go along.

Made this for myself in Theodora’s Pearls Bamboo in shades of terracotta and blueberry. After my aunt saw me in May, she asked if I’d make her one.

I found the yarn on our latest trip to Silver City. As of this posting 11/14 I’ve finished 7 squares. The dominant color in this one will be the light blue.

Almost done. Need to find & attach buttons, wash and block. I’m a little worried about my hip measurement. I missed the beginning of the vent and it may be a little tight getting on. My tie is 4” shorter than intended and I may have to redo that. Gonna go ahead with the wash/block and see where I’m at.

I remade the tie and it didn’t turn out much longer than the previous one. After washing & blocking this one may actually measure smaller than my bamboo version. Waist approx. 33” and mid-length about 34” but it is a very stretchy fabric and plan to send it anyway to learn how it fits. I’m a 32” waist 41” hip and I can slip it on without unbuttoning so idk we’ll see what the giftee says.
