Mad Hatter Gradient Mini Skeins Set (2) Down the Rabbit Hole ~ September #78.
I used about 1&1/2 balls of each color - going down slightly each color to under 1 ball of the last color set.

Shallow Crescent. Worked Flat Bottom up.

Angled Decrease at edge line plus Scale size decrease.

Flower bloom effect to the Scales in this layout… I’m happy it kept a good amount of overlap and flex in this more open gauge. They really look like overlapping petals.

Yes, I sewed in the tails after blocking. Especially on aggressively blocked items and/or where the join is mid-row/round. I don’t get bunchy areas if I misjudge tension this way.

The M’s in the “nearly done” image are for the repeat. Once you know the pattern it’s easy to accidentally jump-in with the transition early, at the half rep = half rep is the same stitching but on an offset. The M need to be placed in the Center Scale because Edge scales get Decreased quickly.
