Socks made to fit size 8 U.S.

Pattern notes:

1/ My first time trying to knit 2 socks at once using magic loop. It was an experience! The progress seems slower (because I had to knit 2 socks at the same time, so the socks did not feel like they “grew” fast), but when I finished I got both socks!
2/ However, the cons of this technique for this particular pattern is the lace. If I knit this pattern again - I’d arrange the stitches in a way that I don’t start or end with a YO. This made it easy to make mistakes on the lace.
3/ I am not a huge fan of the GSR shaping on the heels. I much prefer the heel flap & gusset fit. However, I decided to give this heel a try. The minimal design of the GSR heel shaping makes much more sense and compliments the lace. The increases around the ankle makes a modern fit to the GSR heels and I have to say I really like this detail. If you also not like the GSR shaping - hopefully this design changes your mind like it did mine.

Overall very satisfying knit and finished product. I would recommend this pattern to confident beginners (trust me, the lace is all talk - it’s not that intimidating!) or intermediate knitters.
