I really love the geometric quality of the lace in this project. Unfortunately, however, I found it utterly tedious to knit. I just kept putting it off because I disliked the process of making it so much.

This comment isn’t intended to reflect poorly on the quality of the pattern itself - on the contrary, it is clear and well-written. I just couldn’t get into the “groove” of knitting this as I do with, say, Marigold. I would have preferred a more printer-friendly layout with fewer pictures interspersed among the charts, as well as a note of how many repeats to be done for each chart next to that chart, but that’s just my personal preference.

Despite the lack of enjoyment of making it, I think the FO is spectacular. It was surprisingly easy to block and the yarn looks magnificent. I really hope my mom likes it.

If I were ever to make this again, I would decrease the number of horizontal repeats drastically, as the FO as drafted is very large (blocked to about 60cm x 2m).
