Notes

I used a lot of different yarns for this Liguria. For the CC, a friend had given me a bag of the Mira mini skeins, and the aqua blue was just gorgeous. so even though I knew it wouldn’t be enough to finish the hat, I had some Lion Brand Ferris Wheel Vintage Carousel that had some bright aqua in it. So, when I ran out of the Mira, about half way plus into the hat, I cut and rolled all the aqua parts of the Vintage Carousel and knitted the hat the rest of the way with it.

As you can see at the top of the har, there are bits of purple and other colors mixed with the aqua, but I think it looks kind of cool.

For the MC, the Leading Men Fiber Arts in Only Have Eyes for You, which I used on my last “Lacy” Liguria, is a fingering weight, so I rolled it with some leftover Linen Quill from Purl Soho, also fingering weight, which I used for the Linda Cielito Wrap, to make it DK weight.

Having said all that, since 4 repeats gave me so much extra room in the crown on my first Ligura, which would not slouch, I only knitted 3 pattern repeats this time. Lo and behold, it did not fully cover the ears, so when I blocked it, I pinned it down about an inch plus, and now it’s perfect!

Finally, the colors in this Liguria was inspired by THIS Liguria. The MC she used was just figured out for me by some great ladies over in the forums, so I will purchase some and make it for my friend’s daughter!

Oh, I FINALLY got the pretty flower on the crown! No dropped stitches and fudging like my previous two Liguria hats. Yay!
