Beautiful spring day for a FO photo shoot. Finally brought out my first Clapotis for proper photos. The day was too bright to capture the deep red color of yarn. Last pic of FO is true color.

This project was a joy to do! I would do this project again!
Great pattern (so addictive & hard to put down) and great yarn.

finished measurements: 80” x 26” (big shawl)

Needles: Lantern Moon Ebony Destiny circulars (26”)

Pattern alteration:
“instead of using stitch markers to mark the stitch to be dropped, purl that stitch instead (it’s the knit stitch between the two k tbl sts). and knit it on the other side. this will make the purl side a bit easier to bear and you won’t have any makers to worry about losing or to dig into your hands.” per Mermaiden.

Section 1 (set-up rows):
14 rows

Section 2 (increase rows):
8 x rows 1-12
1 x rows 1-6
total of 119 sts on needles

Section 3 (straigt rows):
22 x rows 1-12

Section 4 (decrease rows):
8 x rows 1-12---------> 23 sts on needles
1 x rows 1-10---------> 10 sts on needles

Section 5 (final rows):
11 rows

Finished knitting: 1/7/09
unblocked measurements:
width - 19.5 inches
length - 90 inches

blocked measurements:
length - 80”
width - 26”

Reason for project to take 3 months instead of less than a month was due to all the knitted gifts I had to make in Nov. & Dec. (poor Clapotis had to hibernate).
