Beautiful spring day for a FO photo shoot. Made 3 pairs from same yarn. FO is my daughter’s mitts. Arielle wanted a pair for herself after she tried on the gifted pair.

1/7/2018: A day of knitting. Both mitts done.

Needles: Addi Turbo Lace, 32” circulars

Yarn: Stash busting; 100% wool for durability.

Skein used weighs 103 grams
Used 50 grams for project, 53 grams remaining.

CO using Long Tail CO on US 8 needles.
CO is counted as the first round.
Switch to US 6 needles for rest of mitt.

Cuff: Round 1 - 16: 3x, 48 rounds (16 cm long from CO)
Thumb Opening: 8 rounds (19 cm long from CO)
Upper Hand: 11 rounds + 4 rounds
BO using JSSSBO.
68 rounds including CO & BO sections. + 4 extra rounds on upper hand = 72 rounds. (24 cm long from CO)

Turned 1 mitt inside out, so I have 2 mitts which are mirror image of each other.

Mitt 1:
Pre-blocked: 24 grams, 24 cm length
Weight is less compared to Gifted Hand Warmers # 13 (used same yarn, same needles and did same number of rounds). I must have knitted tighter than usual.

1/11/2018: Washed in baby shampoo.
Post blocked: xx grams, xx cm length (after xx weeks of wear)

Mitt 2:
Pre-blocked: 24 grams, 24 cm length
