2016.12.21:
motivated to finish this

Next time, use 3 strands of lace and make 2nd mitt as mirror image (re do chart for mirror image)

Mods:
All instructions that are “k”, replace with “k-tbl”.

Did only Chart 1x,
Advance all stitch markers (or beginning of each section) by one stitch to the right. In other words, last stitch of all repeats of last rnd (Rnd 22) is now the first st of each section of Rnd 1 on next Chart Repeat (this is a PURL stitch)
While doing 2nd repeat of chart, followed Thumb Gusset instructions (cutting out 1 chart repeat reduced length of cuff)

Thumb Gusset (Mod):
At next chart repeat (Rnd 1), transfer thumb gusset stitches to spare circulars.
When get to 1 stitch before 1st Thumb Gusset (TG) marker (this is a PURL stitch),
Do YO,
leave PURL stitch unworked on right hand needle,
remove TG marker,
Transfer TG stitches to spare needle (needle size smaller than what you are using) and insert spare needle inside mitt to keep it out of way,
remove TG marker,
Transfer the unworked PURL stitch on right hand needle to left hand needle,
work the PURL stitch with next stitch as Ktog-tbl,
continue on per pattern for upper hand

Upper Hand:
(covers entire length of pinky finger which provides warmth when not folded down)
follow directions per pattern.
Finish chart.
Do Ribbing for 7 Rnds.
Do BO in pattern: Modified JSSSBO (do YO only before the k-tbl stitch) - does not need to be too stretchy

Thumb:
17 sts on spare needle (US 1)
Continue using US 1 for entire thumb.
Rnd 1(Set-Up):
place 10 stitches on one needle and the remaining 7 sts on the other needle, make sure the 1st and last stitch is on the same needle so the gap is between them. k1, pick up 3 stitches at gap, (k1-tbl, P1)8x [20 sts on needles]
Rnd 2-3: do ribbing in pattern
Rnd 4: [(k1-tbl, P1) 4x, k2-tbl tog] 2x [18 sts]
Rnd 5: do 1 Rnd as est. k-tbl the k-tbl sts and P the P sts
Rnd 6: [(k1-tbl, P1) 3x, k1-tbl, p2tog] 2x [16 sts]
Rnd 7-9: do 3 Rnds as est.
Rnd 10: BO using JSSSBO

Pre-Block Measurements:
Weight: 25 grams per mitt
Dimensions: 9.5” L x 3.25” W, laid flat unstretched
Pre-Block Pics: 2017.01.01 - modeled by Arielle, a petite young lady, 5’6”

Blocking: Wet blocking via baby shampoo. Hung out to dry. Probably grew in length while drying.

Post Block Measurements:
Weight: 25 grams per mitt
Dimensions: 10.5” L x 2.75” W
Post Block Pics: forthcoming
Gifted to Julie in time for her ski trip.

2014.11:

4 strands of 2-ply lace weight 100% cashmere held together (from unfinished frogged hat, was too big)

Needles: US 4 - CO only
US 2 - body

CO 48 sts on US 4
Rnd 1- (p1,k1-tbl)24x

Switch to US 2
Rnd 2 - 10: repeat Rnd 1

Do Chart 2x
Note: on Rnd 22, advance stitch markers
to the right by 1 st. so that the st to
right of marker is a “k1-tbl” st (this is
in preparation for Rnd 1 of chart).
