Legs and Body
3.5mm hook - I change colours in the centre of the back.
Rnds 1 - 38: Charcoal Blend (grey).
Rnds 39 - 44: Light purple.
Rnds 45 - 73: Starting with blue, work 3rnds of each colour of your rainbow - in the 3rd round of each colour I added random sc’s in the next colour to blend the stripes for a more ombre look.
My rainbow was light purple, sky blue, light green, lemon yellow, apricot and pink….then apricot,lemon yellow, light green and ending the body with light blue…
….then change to your chosen skin colour for the head.
Arms
3.5mm hook - I change colours on the inside of each arm so that the row changes are less obvious.
Rnds 1 - 10 (Hand): in your chosen skin colour.
Rnds 11 - 15: Light purple.
Rnds 16 - 49: Starting with sky blue, work 3rnds of each colour of your rainbow.
I worked the same colour progression as the body.

Beanie
I started with a chain long enough to fit around the head.
Work in continuous rounds until the tube is long enough to make a beanie.
Flatten the tube and crochet through both layers to form the the straight top of the square beanie.
I stitched the beanie to the head, then made a ribbed piece for the bottom of the hat and stitched that to the head/beanie.
Add a pompom to each point of the beanie.
